United Socialist Party is Contesting in Colombo, Kaluthara, Jaffna, Kandy and Kegalla Districts. In the General Election on Aug ; 17th. USP General Secretary Sirithunga Jayasuriya is leading the Jaffna Group of Candidates and EC member Srinath Perera is leading the Colombo Group. In Colombo the USP has fielded 5 Muslim and 4 Tamil Candidates out of a total 22. USP is the Socialist Challenger against the capitalist and petit – bourgeois parties in this election. We call upon all the oppressed peoples to join hands with the USP to win their rights.
